WARNING: Google User Agreement

It is against Google's FREE Map API terms of agreement to use this field or any FREE Google Map API behind a firewall or on any internal network (which means your INTRANET):

Maps API Implementation must not "operate only behind a firewall or only on an internal network (except during the development and testing phase)."

Also you cannot use the FREE API on a subscription based, password protected website.

You can however, sign up to pay for the upgraded API service, which will allow you to leverage this technology behind firewalls and on subscription based websites.  But it is very costly.
